Sometimes it does not even matter how much money an estate has for that type of battle. Step relations are often bitter.
That noted, the dispute between Alan Thicke's widow and his sons is one of the strangest.
Thicke and his widow had a prenuptial agreement that gave her certain assets upon his death.
She always claimed publicly that she was satisfied with what she was supposed to inherit under the terms of the agreement.
The sons took the unusual step of preemptively filing a motion in court claiming that their stepmother was planning to challenge the prenuptial agreement and threatening to share gossip with the media, if they did not let her have her way.
Things got stranger when the widow denied in court that she had any plans to challenge the prenuptial agreement.
The sons provided little actual evidence for their claims.
A judge has ruled in the widow's favor and dismissed the sons' case for now.
The sons were given the option to refile later with specific evidence for their claims, which they say they will do, as TMZ reports in "Alan Thicke's Widow Scores Court Win Against Sons ... For Now."
It is likely this strange case will continue to receive a lot of media attention, since everyone would like to know just what it is that the sons are talking about.
